Group Centenary Dinner Bookings Open

Details of the Group Centenary Dinner are now available, on 27th September 2008 at Brunel's Hospitality Suite.... 6:30 for 8:30pm... uniform or lounge suit.

Tickets for the evening are available on a first come first served basis as there is obviously a limit to the number the hall can accommodate. The price of tickets is £30 each and includes the 3 course dinner plus coffee and mints and also table wines, with roast beef as the main course

Over 100 former members of 1st Uxbridge Scout Group Joined in an evening of festivities and memories at 1st Uxbridge's HQ in Rockingham Road, Uxbridge. From former GSLs to Scouts from the past, the range of experiences was phenomenal.

On the last weekend in April, Scouts took part in a back-to-basics camp at the PACCAR Scout campsite at Chalfont, led by Ian and Westy, concentrating on basic camping skills, making bivvys and having a good time...

Group Get Together Announced

1st Uxbridge announces an informal reunion of former members and supporters of 1st Uxbridge Scouts and I have pleasure in inviting you to attend on Saturday 7th June 2008. The Get-Together will start from 4pm and end around 10pm.

Refreshments in the form of a finger or fork buffet will be available from about 6pm and wines, lager and soft drinks available throughout the evening as well as tea and coffee. There will be no charge for attendance or any of the refreshments but donations are invited, particularly for drinks and a raffle will be held so that hopefully the event will result in no cost to the group funds.

1st Uxbridge Celebrates Centenary

1st Uxbridge Scouts are celebrating their centenary year, and a new uniform badge has been created for members of the group.

The design was by Cian Wheeler (a Scout).

 

There will be a number of events that will be happening to celebrate this:

  • Group Camp for existing members [23/26 May]
  • Summer Camp for existing members [August]
  • Informal Get-Together [7th June at Scout HQ]
  • Formal Centenary Dinner [27th September]
