BeaverFace

What does it take to become a beaver?

We believe that it takes a special kind of person to become a beaver at 1st Uxbridge, whether they are a boy or a girl, the net result is always the same... FUN!

We have a game that the beavers enjoy, that takes very little effort on the leaders part and just a little effort from the beavers, it is also a good game for bringing in the beavers that are a little shy. And the game is called...

Faces

The way we play this game requires the use of some fairly expensive equipment, although substitutions cam be made.

What you will need:

How to play

  1. Set your camera up in front of a plain background sush as a wall
  2. Have your beavers practive their funniest or ugliest faces
  3. Line your beavers in a row and move them one at a time in front of the camera
  4. Take a picture of the fuuny or ugly face
  5. Repeat until oaa the pictures have been taken
  6. Set your camera up to display the pictures on the television
  7. Have the beavers sit in front of the television or stand depending on numbers
  8. Replay the pictures taken on the camera, have a helper make a note of the childrens reactions to the pictures and give a prize of some free tuck to the funniest or ugliest face
  9. If you have the resources - pc, printer, spare body and necessary software, you could print out a certificate for each of the beavers so that thet can take it home with them (so they don't feel left out)
Here is a picture of one of our future beavers, she was just so cute we just had to show you her picture Isn't she cute!
